About Borders Live Classes

Summary

Borders has chosen Sacramento to launch a groundbreaking customer education program. The goal is to draw customers into the stores and contribute to the local community. The program is produced by Skorman Productions, serial entrepreneur Stuart Skorman's latest venture.

The pilot program is slated to launch February 2nd and run through June.

Diverse Class Offerings

In each store, Borders will feature a wide selection of hour-long classes focused on the customer suggestions in each community. Topics include everything from Shakespeare to real estate, travel writing to winning poker.

The Teachers

Classes are led mostly by local professionals and business owners. Sacramento-area psychotherapists, for instance, will teach most of the self-help classes. Borders is also attracting a sprinkling of local celebrities.
